Rivkin has come up with a plan in answer to the comments from United Nations humanitarian aid chief Jan Egeland that rich countries are stingy when it comes to international disaster relief. His plan starts with agreeing with Egeland and building from there.

Wal-Mart Blamed For Suicide

(Denton, Texas) Shayla Stewart was a manic-depressive and schizophrenic who purchased her prescribed anti-psychotic medication from Wal-Mart. She also purchased a shotgun from Wal-Mart which she used to kill herself. Consequently, Shayla's mother, Lavern Bracy, is suing Wal-Mart, claiming the company knew she was mentally ill and, therefore, shouldn't have sold her a shotgun. A judgment of $25 million is being sought.

Legal Assaults on the First Amenndment

I am not a religious person. I belong to no church. I neither worship nor believe in any diety. Unlike others who share a similar absence of belief I have no hostility toward those who do. I will in fact staunchly defend anyone's right to practice their religion. It comes down to a basic slippery slope argument. Freedom is freedom. If you allow one freedom to be destroyed others will not be far behind.
