I understand that I am just a person, and however smart, rational, and well-guided I might be, there are others out there like me. I have changed my mind many times in life about many issues, as I explored and experimented with various values and ideologies growing up. I have abandoned many positions when I realized they were unfounded, and I don't find it hard to conjecture that as I was mistaken in the past, I can find myself being wrong again in the future. My mind is fallible therefore I have no privileged epistemological access to universal truth.

Barack Obama: Stupid or Corrupt?

Here he is, telling us how eager he is to negotiate with the most illegitimate and dangerous regimes in the world - for the sake of "repairing" busted bridges. Obama is a smart man who usually says a lot without saying anything at all. But in this case, he must know better that negotiation with thuggery legitimizes thuggery. Agreements made with thugs always requires a compromising of our interests (presumably in sharing freedom) and ultimately leads to a further erosion of support from countries that would normally be our natural allies in liberty.

Their coup d'etat against language puts Orwell’s Newspeak dictionaries to shame. Hawks Looking for More Time

When Mr. Bush decided to ignore the 2006 elections and the Iraq Study Group report and “surge” more troops into the quagmire of Iraq-Nam, the world was told to give it some time. That was more than 6 months ago. A couple of months into that bad decision, the world was told to wait until September when General Petraeus would make his report. Well, guess what, comrades? The hawks have decided September is too soon, and they have already started preparing the ground work to continue the war well beyond that, indeed until Mr. Bush leaves office.
