Dropping numbers

by on November 20th, 2003

ABC News first speculated that Bush would be met in London by hundreds of thousands of protesters.

Up to 100,000 people are expected to gather in London to protest against Bush and his policies.

Then the number was downgraded to tens of thousands.

As tens of thousands of anti-war protesters mobilize for a march on Parliament, President Bush is standing in solidarity with Prime Minister Tony Blair.

And the first day of protests were just plain pathetic.

Hundreds turned out for the first of a number of planned protests as President Bush came to London on Tuesday.

It looks like Bush may not be as hated as they are pushing for.

Update: The protest drew tens of thousands; they even toppled an effigy of Bush himself. And I can’t find an ABC story anywhere.
