MADRID, Spain — The Tunisian believed to be the mastermind of last month’s devastating railway attacks was among the four cornered suspects who blew themselves up Saturday, the Spanish interior minister said.

Interior Minister Angel Acebes said Sunday that two or three suspects in the bombings that killed 191 people may have escaped before the others blew themselves up Saturday in a police standoff, but the body of Sarhane Ben Abdelmajid Fakhet (search) had been identified, according to Reuters
