Irony certainly prevails when a paraplegic has to crawl up two flights of stairs to attend his Supreme Court case on disability access.
The issue at hand in this one is whether an individual can sue a state for not complying with 1990’s Americans With Disabilities Act. George Lane’s suing for $100,000. But I see importance more in the government mandating action on the part of Tennessee courthouses to remedy the situation, and less about Lane’s ability to sue.
