Although some may view the United Nations’ censure of Iran as something that may curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the only thing it shows is the naïveté of the international body.
The resolution, adopted by the 35-nation board of governors of the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency, did not confront Iran with a direct threat of sanctions.
Forget about an enforcement mechanism–the United Nations expects Iran to do the right thing. But with how Iran has acted in the past, the censure is bound not to deter.
